One of the main reasons why solar lights stop working is due to old leaking batteries. If your solar lights are good quality and have been maintained well, they should have a long lifespan. However, if your lights turn off quicker than usual, or the brightness has diminished, you should try replacing your regular batteries with rechargeable ones.

Rechargeable batteries can prolong the lifespan of your solar lights as they are more reliable than regular batteries. This is because they have a larger capacity which ensures they are brighter for longer. Rechargeable batteries are a smarter, long-term purchase that is both economically and environmentally friendly.

You can test if the rechargeable batteries are dead by replacing them with normal batteries. If your solar lights turns on with normal batteries, your rechargeable batteries are probably discharged and you might like to purchase a new set (please make sure to remove the normal batteries after the test).

Here are some of our popular solar-powered lighting products that use either AA or AAA type rechargeable batteries. If you are unable to see your solar lighting product on the list, please check your batteries by removing the battery cover (usually located at the back of the solar panel).
